Plan

• The animals would have spent so long in the zoo they wouldn’t have known how to survive in the wild
• If some animals get endangered there will be animals in the zoo to breed
• Going to the zoo is a good experience because you get to see animals you normally wouldn’t see
• The animals get better treatment at zoos

All Zoos should be shut down and release all animals back into the wild

I don’t think Zoos should shut down and I definitely don’t think they should release the animals back into the wild. Not only is it fun to go to the zoo but it’s a better environment for the animals.

When you go to the zoo you get to experience animals you normally wouldn’t see, like Rhinos, Giraffes, Monkeys and many more, If you released them it would be much harder to see them again. Depending on how long the animals have been in the zoo they wouldn’t even know how to survive out in the wild. It’s also better for the animals  because they get better treatment, they don’t have to run and hide from predators, and they get fed and don’t have to find food themselves and it’s overall better for their health.

If some wild animals end up close to extinction you can just breed the animals that are at the zoo. Do you want zoos to be shut down?

Should dangerous sports be banned?

Personally I think dangerous sports shouldn’t be banned because the people going to do these sports should know that there is a risk of something bad happening and they should be prepared for it incase it does happen. It’s also taking away the joy for other people who want to have the experience of playing that sport.

If you really think about it all sports are dangerous in some way for example, rugby, in rugby someone could get a concussion or in netball someone could get hit on the head. This shows that every sport is dangerous in some sort of way so the question i’m trying to argue with is should dangerous sports be banned? Well What sports are dangerous are they talking skydiving? Rugby? If they took the dangerous sports away I would think they would be taking all sports away because in my eyes all sports are dangerous, Would they just take away the sports that are obviously dangerous and not even think about taking away the dangerous sports that everyone loves to watch?.

Paper helicopters

Aim: To investigate the relationship between wing size and drag

Equipment: Paper, Scissors, a paper clip,stopwatch, meter ruler

Method:

1. Cut out and assemble the four helicopters on the opposite page. attach the paper clip to one of the helicopters

 2. One members of your group holds the helicopter at a height of 2 metres.

3. On the count of three, the person helicopter drops it, while another member of your group times how long it takes for the helicopter to hit the floor.

4. Record your results in the table below.

5. Repeat each drop three times.

6. Repeat steps 2-5 using the helicopter models.
