The Food Nutritional Guidelines
Complex Carbohydrates take longer to break down into glucose meaning when eating Complex Carbohydrates you have energy for longer
In the future, I will be able to use this information by preparing healthier meals following The Food Nutritional guidelines
We are doing this to ensure we have a healthier lifestyle, to avoid heart problems, diabetes, and obesity
During the practical lessons, we have demonstrated how to cook foods by lowering fats/salt and sugars.
Example of how we did this was
During the practical lesson, we steamed the vegetables in a steam basket over a pot of water to ensure the nutrients from the vegetables stay in the vegetables.
We used spray oil on the pan instead of using oil which reduces the fat intake
We used natural sweeteners
this is good Selena and easy to read. maybe next time explain why we need to follow the five FNGs. what natural sweeteners did you use to reduce sugar?
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosa!, We used honey as a natural sweetener.
